Staffing

Our team of Educators is made up of Early Childhood Teachers University trained, Diploma  and Certificate 3 Teachers both TAFE trained. For any information about Atchison Centre’s or your child, the Nominated Supervisor will be happy to assist you.

Atchison Cottage: There are 14 permanent Educators and 4 casual Educators. The breakdown is 1 staff to 4 children between 0-2 years,  1 staff to 5 children between 2-3 years and 1 staff to 10 children between 3-6 years.

Atchison Preschool: There are 4 permanent Educators and 2 casual Educators. The breakdown is 1 staff to 5 children between 2-3 years and 1 staff to 10 children between 3-6 years.

It is compulsory for all staff to complete a ‘Working with Children Check’ before employment.

All Educators employed at Atchison Centre’s hold a current “First Aid Certificate’ . As part of their employment Educators are also trained in Asthma and “Anaphylaxis’ where they are trained to use an Epipen. Other training includes “Work, Health and Safety”, “Food Preparation and Hygiene” and “Child Protection”. In addition to the above , Educators are continually working on keeping up their professional development by attending other courses throughout the year that relate to children and are current.
