The WINNER awards has recognised Atchison Cottage as an Outstanding Childcare Service not only in the Crows Nest area but the whole of the North Shore.
The North Shore area spans from Mosman located on the lower North Shore to Hornsby which is located on the upper North Shore.

ATCHISON CHILDCARE is rated as EXCEEDING in educational and developmental outcomes by the Australian government. This rating was achieved by being assessed against the National Quality Framework.
Atchison Centres were established by Rose Sheahan. Rose has a Bachelor of Education (primary) and prior to the opening of her first Centre – Atchison Cottage in 1995 at 96 Atchison Street in Crows Nest, Rose worked as a Primary Teacher for over seven years. In 2002, Rose opened Atchison Preschool at 98 Atchison Street in Crows Nest. In 2008 Rose expanded Atchison Cottage into the adjacent properties to care for more children. To date Rose has over 28 years experience in the Child Care industry.
